Wonder Con actually has some of the best food choices of any convention around. They have a variety of lunch trucks parked right out front of the convention. The lines for these can be horrendous so i tend to avoid them if possible. Usually i venture out for better food options. The Anaheim area has some great places and these are some of my favorite ones.
roscoes chicken and waffles
2110 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
It’s only a short walk from the convention center and good lord is id delicious! Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. i always order the same thing when i come here, the #5 Jeanne Jones Omelet. It’s a nice fluffy omelet with fried chicken and cheese inside. Comes with a choice of fries or waffle (get the waffle!). If you’re particularly famished order a pice of cornbread on the side.

Meh, there’s two of them about 3 blocks apart. if your too lazy to go anywhere else this is the place to go. Everyones been to denny’s so i don’t have much to say. The food is… ok. The biggest things going for them is that it can seat large groups and everyone can have their own separate check.
Cham Soot Gol
8552 Beach Boulevard, Buena Park, CA 90620
IF your willing to dive a little further out and want to stuff your face with delicious food come here. It’s KBBQ, so its great for groups and theres free ice cream at the end! It’s a great place to go to after the con with friends to decompress chat about the con and accidentally burn some meat. I swear the waiter comes to my station at least (usually way more) 3 times to change out the grill because theres too much burred meat on there. Did i mention the free ice cream!?!
Anaheim Packing district
440 S Anaheim Blvd Anaheim, CA 92805
Options, options, options. This it the trendy hotspot in Anaheim. It’s crowded and its a bitch to park, but man does this place have options. They’ve got everything from ramen to crepes. if you’re with a few friends and no one can decide where to eat go here. you’re bound to find something here that will satisfy anyone.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House
2041 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802
YES, i know this place is expensive. Yes, i know most con goers can’t afford it. But damn it, if this isn’t one of the most delicious steaks you’ve ever had. Its right around the corner of the convention. And theirs no better feeling than sitting down after walking miles at a convention to a nice medium rare porterhouse steak with a nice double Jack Daniel’s on ice. The euphoric feeling of biting into that juicy dry aged steak is one that can’t be beat. it… it just makes everything right in the world, if only for a little while.
